Michael Luo Takes Investigative Talents to The New Yorker

pastedImage (1)Michael Luo, who currently heads an investigative team at the New York Times, will join The New Yorker as a senior editor in charge of investigations. Luo will lead a stable of reporters charged with improving The New Yorker’s investigative reporting.

Luo praised the “great story editors” and smart writing staff of The New Yorker. Editor David Remnick was quick to hail Luo’s arrival: “Michael Luo has a terrific reputation as an editor—-smart, tough-minded, sympathetic—and I know he will help raise our game when it comes to investigative reporting in particular,” he said. “We’re privileged to have him join The New Yorker.”
