Cosmo Macero Jr. offers insight into the worlds of media, business and government gleaned from his 16-plus years in public relations and strategic communications, and more than 20 years as a journalist and commentator.

Cosmo specializes in crisis management and high-visibility PR and media relations programs – with a strong client portfolio in financial services and asset management, commercial real estate and multi-family residential real estate and construction, labor organizations, industry associations, non-profits, and charitable organizations.


He has devised and implemented diverse communications strategies for clients including the American Beverage Association, American Consumer Credit Counseling, HarborOne Bank, the Head of the Charles Regatta, Massachusetts Pension Reserves Investment Management Board (MassPRIM), the Mohegan Tribal Gaming Authority, Redgate RE Investment Management, The Salvation Army, The Teamsters, Trinity Financial, and many more.


Cosmo’s years of experience, refined skills and creativity support clients in crisis communications and reputation management, message and content development, media relations, social media strategy, media training and interview preparation, public awareness campaigns and overall public relations strategy.


Prior to entering the field of public affairs, Cosmo was an accomplished business, political and breaking news journalist and commentator with the Boston Herald, WFXT Fox 25, The Springfield Republican and other outlets. He has also been a frequent Boston-area public affairs and news talk radio guest and podcast host.


He is highly active in networking and business development and is a former Chapter Director for BNI - Business Networking International. Cosmo serves on the Greater Boston Advisory Board of the Salvation Army of Massachusetts and is also a Justice of the Peace and Chair of the Legislative Committee for the Massachusetts Justices of the Peace Association. Cosmo lives with his wife Keri and two sons in Belmont, MA – where he is an elected Town Meeting Member. His other pursuits include independent journalism, golf and playing guitar.
