At Seven Letter, Laurie works to help clients achieve important business and policy successes through strategic communications efforts. Previously, Laurie was part of the team at JDA Frontline, which merged with Blue Engine Message & Media in 2018 to form Seven Letter.

Laurie Rossbach brings nearly two decades of experience in strategic planning, public affairs, media relations, and issues and image management.

Previously, Laurie established Rossbach Consulting to provide select clients with public affairs, communications and media relations consulting services. Before establishing Rossbach Consulting, Laurie spent nearly 15 years honing her communications and program management capabilities in the Washington, DC offices of global communications firms and business consultancies, including FTI Consulting, Burson-Marsteller, Edelman and ICF Consulting.


Most recently at FTI Consulting, Laurie served as a Senior Vice President where she guided the company’s public affairs technology and telecommunications practice. Laurie led that team in creating strategy, implementing public affairs policy outreach and spearheading social and traditional media initiatives to increase the effect of clients’ communications programs and to support critical legislative efforts.


As a Director in Burson-Marsteller’s Public Affairs practice, Laurie led and supported numerous campaigns ranging from a global industry defense on legislative and regulatory fronts to a regional emergency preparedness public awareness campaign funded by the Department of Homeland Security.


Previously, Laurie served in increasing roles of responsibility at Edelman in Washington, where she managed and implemented media relations and communications initiatives as diverse as a reputation enhancement program for a national youth organization, communications outreach during a Section 301 trade dispute and a defense manufacturer’s successful bid to continue as the sole manufacturer and supporter of a family of tactical vehicles for the U.S. Army. At ICF Consulting, Laurie provided social marketing and communications consulting for government and energy clients.


Laurie is from Charleston, SC, and graduated from the College of Charleston with a degree in American history and a minor in political science. She lives in Alexandria, VA with her husband, their daughter and a calico cat named Begonia.
