Nu started his career as a staffer for former U.S. Senator Ernest “Fritz” Hollings of South Carolina, working on his re-election campaign and in his Washington communications office. When Hollings announced his retirement, Nu joined the South Carolina Party as executive director, running their “First in the South” Presidential Primary and later serving as the party’s general election coordinated campaign director.
Nu later served as communications director for the House Budget Committee, the House Education and Labor Committee, and Senator Richard Blumenthal of Connecticut.
Most recently, Nu worked in the technology sector for Twitter, Facebook, and Google, focusing on privacy, cybersecurity, disinformation, copyright, and child safety. In these roles, he helped develop and communicate global online content policies and worked with NGO stakeholders on strategies to identify and counter violent extremism online.
In his free time, Nu can be found biking around the Washington area, taking in a baseball game at Nationals Park, or cheering for alma mater’s football team, the University of South Carolina Gamecocks.
Nu works in the Seven Letter Washington, D.C. office and lives in Washington with his wife Christina and daughter Jordan.
