Christine Sanders comes to Blue Engine Message & Media with diverse experience in the television news and entertainment industry. Adept at using media tools to increase brand exposure and ratings, Christine most recently worked at MTV Networks where she designed integrated marketing campaigns for MTV’s college network mtvU that connected corporate sponsors to advocacy efforts such as clean water and financial aid for college. Christine's work at mtvU also included the production of public service programming to raise awareness and mobilize support among the network’s audience on pressing issues such as student veterans suffering from Post-traumatic Stress Disorder and sex trafficking.
Christine originally launched her television career in California, helping to prepare reporters for breaking news stories and fact checking content for broadcast at CNN’s Los Angeles bureau. Later, at the Food Network and Cooking Channel, Christine worked in programming and development where her responsibilities included co-supervising programming specials designed to enhance the networks’ corporate brands. Her proudest moment came co-supervising the Urban Grocer special for the recently launched Cooking Channel. The special followed a young foodie on her travels across Latin America and garnered solid ratings for the network. In addition to her experience as an associate writer and producer, Christine also worked in advertising sales at NBC Universal for the USA and Sci-Fi Networks.
Originally from Los Angeles, Christine holds a Bachelor of Arts with a double major in Journalism/Mass Media Communications and Africana studies from New York University. Christine has served on the board of the Junior Hollywood Radio and Television Society's New York Chapter and is a member of the National Association of Multi-Ethnicity in Communications. When not working hard for Blue Engine's clients, she can be found at a jazz club or reading the news for fun.
