Washington Post Names Holly Bailey as National Political Reporter for 2020 Presidential Election

Holly Bailey will join the Washington Post to cover the 2020 presidential election as a national political reporter.

The Posts national editor Steven Ginsberg, deputy national editor Lori Montgomery and politics editor Peter Wallsten announced her move: “Holly will play a leading role in covering the 2020 presidential race, focusing initially on the battle for the Democratic nomination in early-voting states.”

Prior to joining the Post, Bailey served as a  national correspondent for Yahoo News covering news, politics and culture. She also served as a White House correspondent for Newsweek, where she covered the presidencies of George W. Bush and Barack Obama.

She will begin on March 18th.
